Our school Career Day “ We plan our Future”, specially designed to informand advise students on matters of studies and careers took place on Wednesday 6 December 2017 and wasa great success.
On this day our students had the opportunity to listen to speeches and attend presentations and workshops that helped them considerably to find out more about their educational and career prospects.
Specifically, the students attended the following events:
- A speech on Interview Techniques by Mrs. Giannakoura- Taylor, Job Counselor.
- A presentation on scientific fields and departments by Mrs. Kanellopoulou, high school principal at Kessaris school.
- A presentation of different Scientific Fields and Departments by Mr. Ifadithes, Corporate and Social Responsibility manager at Pepsico.
- A video on Vocational Training made by the Business Learning programme.
- Alumni Experience: Our school’s graduates shared their experiences with the students of third grade Gymnasium and Senior High School and conveyed their knowledge to the students in an experiential manner.

Since our students are at a critical period in their lives searching for their special skills, talents and potential,the following activities organized by our school aim toprovide effective career guidance.:
- OPEN DOOR MENTORING
By Mr. Apostolides and Mrs. Giannakoura-Taylor, accredited Career Counselors. This is apersonalized Career Guidance and Counseling program which aims to educate, mobilize, inspire and support students so they can best define their personalities and core values as well as finally decide on their future plans and make career choices. The abovementioned program includes brief questionnaires concerningthe students’ preferences and interests (aptitude assessments) and individual counseling based on student needs. - CAREER GATE TEST K.17
The Career Gate 17R Test is an internationally recognized, automated and modern test that investigates the educational and professional interests of students. It is easily and quickly carried out online on the school premises with only the counselor and the student present. Moreover, it is a 30-35 minute test where students are expected to answer simple questions about their tastes and preferences with a Yes/No answer. The resulting report based on the student’s answers is a CD with colored histograms and charts that clearly show their educational and professional profile, skills and talents. - «It’s my choice»
In cooperation with ‘Employ’, a career-counseling institution, we compiled a Study and Career Guidance book with all the latest information and factsabout the academic world. - Visits
Students visit universities and attend workshops or lectures so as to be informed about study programs and university faculties as well as workplaces through experiential learning programs especially designed by Junior Achievement, Greece and Learning Business. Finally, representatives of the most well known and prestigious universities in the U.K and elsewhere visit our school to assist our students with the decision-making process.
