Curriculum Enrichment

  • Foreign Languages

English is the first foreign language taught in our school. Lessons begin in nursery school on a daily basis and finish in Lyceum. Our aim is for students to receive the most advanced qualification in English (Level C2-Proficiency).

Our experienced teachers and program guarantee learning the language without the need for extra lessons at private institutes or tutoring. Our students take part in the Cambridge and Michigan exams with extremely high success rates. In addition, there are bilingual classes in primary school.

  • Drama

The course enables children to express themselves giving vent to thoughts, feelings and concerns by means of role-play. At the same time, participation in well-organized performances strengthens children’s ability to function in a team in a coordinated way.

  • Music

The course is adapted to the kinetic, conceptual, expression and communication skills of children that are subject to change depending on their age. Its goal is the holistic approach to music through an interdisciplinary way.

The elements of music (sound, rhythm, melody, harmony) are taught and experienced in a practical way by using the body. Pupils are taught to recognize, distinguish, classify and finally use the sounds. Thus, teaching is transformed into a game and experimentation with sound, body and music. The exploration of the possibilities of voice and instruments as well as active listening and response to sounds with movement, drawing, abstract representation and improvisation are only some of the methods used.

  • Art

Through modes of creative expression such as painting and arts and crafts and with a fervent desire to create:

    • We cultivate children’s creativity.
    • We encourage the use of various materials, means and tools.
    • We use Art as a means to access cognitive themes.
    • Children learn to practice different techniques.
    • Children use their imagination artistically.

  • Sports

Through a number of music-kinetic games pupils discover their body and its possibilities, their balance and agility. They are also taught about fair play, competition and trust in their teammates through games.

  • Projects

In our kindergarten children do a number of projects, on their own or in groups, using their imagination, artistic expression and organizational ability. Also, for the first time they make use of writing skills and mathematics. This procedure contributes decisively to the sharpening of skills, the cultivation of cooperation and team work as well as the acquisition of knowledge. At the same time, it entertains in a creative way.

  • Digital Education

Working on the interactive board, children develop a number of interpersonal skills. Cooperation and responsibility are promoted while interaction with the e-learning material intensifies the joy of creation. Moreover, connection between technology and cognitive themes is activated.

At the same time, children come into contact with computers, audio systems, digital cameras etc. so as to get accustomed to technological means through guided use appropriate for their age.

  • Optional Activities

After school, students can participate in activities of their choice avoiding after school transportation by parents to sports clubs, etc.
