Swimming
The programme involves learning the basics of the sportfrom movement, shooting and passing to more complex skills and technique as the young players grow older and become more experienced. At the same time, students attend nutrition and lifesaving classes.
Also, our school delivers a preparation programme that guarantees students successful entry to the School of Physical Education and Sports Science.

Basketball
Kessaris Basketball School curriculum has been developed to help players better understand the process of improvement. The curriculum depends on players mastering new skills before advancing to the next level.
The coach focuses on teaching student-athletes the fundamentals and techniques of the game of basketball, such as Stance and Balance, Shot Pocket, Grip, Balance Hand, Delivery, Correct Shot, etc. As players progress through each level, they will be challenged by increasing the level of difficulty and intensity of the drills.
Practicing in basketball provides several extra benefits for children. Players can improve their speed, agility, strength, hand-eye coordination and overall cardiovascular endurance while learning how important teamwork is and building discipline.

Football
Practicing in football provides several benefits for children. Players can improve their speed, agility, strength, hand-eye coordination and overall cardiovascular endurance while learning how important teamwork is and building discipline.
There are various individual skills and team tactics needed to play effective football. Kessaris football training programme includes learning side-foot passes and straight shots, practicing offensive tactics (Give and Go, Pass and Move), free tactics, throw-ins, goal and corner kicks.
Having learnt and improved all the required techniques, children manage to participate in in-school and out of school tournaments.

Tennis
Kessaris Tennis programme gives student-athletes a unique growth experience, as well as all the tools they need to grow as individuals, learn key values such as hard work, autonomy and a great sense of organization and discipline.
We tailor our training method to different age groups so as to optimize learning experience. In other words, our Tennis programme is not a one-size-fits-all. Children discover the beauty of the sport through innovative techniques and games, under the supervision and guidance of an experienced coach.
When the children have all the basic skills and are willing to develop and improve upon them, they can participate and compete in in-school and inter-school tournaments.

Tang Soo Do
Tang Soo Do is a Korean martial art based on karate and other Chinese martial arts. Tang Soo Do athletes strengthen their body and boost their self-confidence through training and learning self-defense techniques while showing respect for nature and life. In addition, they are taught self-discipline and respect for people.

Dance
Young dancers can choose among ballet, modern dance and hip hop.
Classical ballet is a wonderful way for young children tolearn to follow instructions, gain a sense of discipline through learning new positions, learn co-ordination, balance and how to control their bodies in motion.
Modern dance,often described as fluid and freeform, consists of long, languid movements, and jerky ones that show the contraction and expansion of the body. The young dancers will focus on contractions, spirals, basic floor work, and elemental concepts of space, time and force. They will also build core strength and flexibility in a fun and encouraging environment.
Hip hop is a great way for young dancers to express themselves. It's a good option for kids who don't like to be held back with too many rules. Hip-hop can be a fun way for kids to make friends and build their confidence.
Older children can choose a combination of Hip-Hop and Zumba. Choreography helps teach a child to focus, creativity, and discipline, all in which are mandatory in any area of education. Social Benefits- Dance improves sensitivity, understanding, appreciation, and consideration for others, both for their similarities and differences.

Fine Arts
Those who are interested in drawing, painting and visual arts can join the Department of Fine Arts. Also, students who wish to be accepted atthe School of Architecture or a Technological Educational Institute, where free design is required, candidates for the School of Fine Arts, but also children who want to acquire art education and look for creativity are ideal members of the Fine Arts group.
The course is an introduction to Modern and Contemporary Art as well as materials and techniques that participants will be able to apply in their future artistic creations.The activity is available in: Gymnasium
Extracurricular classes of French, Spanish and German language
Reinforcement language classes can be a rewarding extracurricular activity and could even give children an academic advantage. Kessaris extra language classes give children the opportunity to improve language skills while having fun and developing their social skills. While staying at school, children have the option to attend French, Spanish or German under the guidance of experienced foreign language teachers. Group sizes are kept small in order to help students take language exams and are modified according to the student’s linguistic ability.

Drama Club
The aim of Kessaris Drama club “Kivotos Oneiron” is to familiarize students with the process of producing a theatrical work (acting, directing, creating scenery, costumes, music, lighting), cooperation in a team and the dedication required of everyone to a common goal. Members of the Club develop their skills, take initiative, gain self-confidence, share in the significant experience of presenting a complete performance in front of an audience and, most importantly, broaden their knowledge of the theater while, at the same time, they become more artistically aware.
Kessaris Drama Club uses Stanislavski’s Method whose principles of directing and collective theories on acting were very influential in the late nineteenth century and are still used by actors and directors today.
Stanislavski and Nemirovish-Danchenko were the founders of Moscow Music Theatre, one of the most popular theatres in the world that mainly organizes contemporary productions.

Creative Writing and Literature Workshop
‘There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.’
Maya Angelou, poet and singer.Creativity is at the core of reading and writing, at the heart of speaking and listening. Kessaris Creative Writing and Literature workshop offers students opportunities to explore and experiment with words in different contexts.
At the beginning, the students come into contact with different types of books, literary genres and styles. They read extracts, meet older and new authors. They also discuss and express their views about books.
Experiential, exciting and empowering, our imaginative approaches motivate students to write, remember and dream.
They also experiment with writing humorous and social texts, fairy tales and short stories.
Through this process, they finally realize how important words are in order to express themselves and socialize.

Kessaris Bio Team
Piano
Students are taught classical piano in a familiar environment by an experienced teacher. Depending on their piano skill level, children get to know the keyboard with notes, half steps and note values. They also learn to play with melody, play pause etc. In due course, they will be able to perform well-known classical and art songs as well as develop their piano technique.
Our goal is to make students love music and express their thoughts and feelings while playing popular pieces on the piano.

Choir
Singing in choir provides a sense of real belonging, offers new opportunities for learning, encourages student engagement and promotes civic involvement. Also, it improves the way children listen to music, it draws out their innate musical ability and intensifies their appreciation of harmony.
The school-based choral programme includes song analysis, diaphragmatic breathing exercises and other techniques that improve vocal range and abilities. At the same time, students are taught music theory, solfège (a music education method used to teach aural skills, pitch and sight-reading of Western music) and polyphony (the simultaneous combination of tones or melodic lines).
For a positive emotional experience, energy and relaxation, singing together is good for kids' wellbeing. Choir singing appears to be achieving calming effects in a similar way that breathing and posture exercises in yoga do.

Kessaris English Rhetoric Club
The main aim of debate is to train pupils in the skills of public speaking while investigating social, scientific and humanistic issues.
Kessaris Forensics Club encourages students to quick thinking, promotes the values of free speech and logical interpretation, helps students develop confidence and receive award certificates and honors. Relying on the skills of English grammar and dialectic, teachers help students find the best means of persuasion in order to lead others toward what is true good and beautiful.The Forensics club makes students realize that life is not simplistic. It is filled with complexity nuance and variation. Students engage in social issues that demand deeper thinking and strive to express their thoughts with accurate analysis and interesting style in English.
Every year, Kessaris Forensics Club takes part in the Panhellenic Forensics Tournament. Participants compete in Impromptu Speaking, Original Oratory, Group Discussion and Debate.

Chess is a board game for two players that involves strategy and space geometry. It boosts the imagination, develops perspective and improves memory. It is definitively worth learning chess in order to increase self-awareness, elevate creativity and boost planning skills.

Lego Education Preschool
Steam Academy - iRobot
The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts) Academy gives school students a learning experience unlike any other while engaging them with real world science, futuristic technology, educational robotics and discovery learning.
STEAM Academy is a school for future inventors and entrepreneurs. Every year, we host a number of missions inviting students to choose from challenges to complete as scientists, engineers, artists, digital makers and entrepreneurs.
Since 2016, Kessaris STEAM Team has been participating in FLL Research and Robotics Championships, both at a national and international level, presenting original projects and thus gaining distinctions, awards and prizes. In the years 2017 and 2018, Kessaris STEAM Team excelled at the Lego World Competitions held in Greece and abroad while in 2023 took the second place in the FLL, Los Angeles.
Students who wish to join our STEAM Academy will be evaluated and assessed in September in order to be accepted and thus take part in the following competitions:
