Kessaris MUN club travelled to Milan to take part in the Milan MUN conference hosted by Bocconi University in March 2025. This year’s theme was: “Shaping our Future and Rethinking our Past.”
Our students addressed issues related to environmental challenges, the impacts of new technological developments, human rights, and the protection of vulnerable populations in an ever-evolving world.
Our student and school ambassador, Melissa Adamantidis, delivered a short speech at the opening ceremony. All Kessaris MUN team members had the opportunity to visit Milan and admire its’ sights.
Afterwards, a group of our high school students participated in the 8th ACG MUN, organized by the American College of Greece-Pierce, from March 28 to 30, 2025, on the topic "Balancing Infinite Opportunities (BIOS)".
Preparing and participating in a MUN helps students develop leadership skills, research, writing, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Moreover, coming up with solutions that are acceptable to a majority of the representatives also inculcates skills of negotiation, conflict resolution, and cooperation.
Students engage in simulated diplomatic experiences mirroring real United Nations conferences. Participants assume roles of delegates representing various countries, debating global issues, and crafting resolutions.
